Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Veteran's Program

A health services organization in New York City is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN to support a veteran-focused treatment program.

About the Opportunity:

• Shift: Day shift
• Schedule: Monday-Friday (Wednesdays required)
• Hours: 8:00 AM-4:00 PM; Wednesdays 11:00 AM-7:00 PM
• Setting: On-site, short-term treatment setting

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care under the direction of the RN and/or physician
• Record and monitor vital signs, assess patient concerns, and support clinical intakes
• Administer injections, perform basic testing, and assist with procedures as needed
• Document patient history, care provided, and updates in the medical record
• Support wound care, medication coordination, chart preparation, and other clinical tasks

Qualifications:

• Active New York State LPN licensure
• BLS certification
• High School Diploma or GED
• Graduation from a formal technical or vocational LPN program
• At least 1 year of LPN experience working with clients with substance use disorder and/or serious mental illness
• Computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic health records
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills

Desired Skills:

• Experience in addiction, psychiatric, or mental health care
• Experience working with methadone-related services
• Spanish language proficiency
• Familiarity with serving diverse populations in a treatment environment
• Strong bedside manner and adaptability in a high-touch clinical setting
