Key Skills Needed:

  • Ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
  • Strong understanding of special education laws, practices, and instructional strategies
  • Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with general education teachers, families, and support teams
  • Experience delivering both small group and one-on-one support
  • Competence in monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate documentation
  • Valid AZ state teaching certification (preferred)

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement
  • Prior experience with diverse student populations in school settings
  • Strong behavioral management skills

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution (preferred)
  • At least 1 year of teaching experience (preferred)
  • Certification in Elementary, Secondary, or Special Education (preferred)

Other Requirements:

  • Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
  • Current CPR certification and TB screening
  • Health certificate as per state or contract standards

Salary Range: $45 - $55 per hour
