Are you an experienced Senior Estimator looking to join a respected builder delivering high-end residential and commercial projects across Newcastle and the surrounding region?
We are seeking a talented Senior Estimator to join an award-winning construction team known for quality workmanship, exceptional project delivery and a genuinely great workplace culture.

With projects valued up to $30 million, this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in securing and delivering premium construction projects while working alongside a collaborative, high-performing team.

The Opportunity Reporting to senior management, you will take ownership of the estimating process across a diverse portfolio of high-end residential and commercial construction projects.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates and tender submissions.
• Reviewing architectural drawings, specifications and project documentation.
• Conducting detailed quantity take-offs and cost planning.
• Obtaining and assessing subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Identifying project risks, cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions.
• Liaising with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal project teams.
• Supporting tender negotiations and contributing to successful project outcomes.
• Working closely with the construction team to ensure a smooth transition from estimating to delivery.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Proven estimating experience within the construction industry — essential.
• Experience estimating high-end residential, commercial or a combination of both projects.
• The ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Strong knowledge of construction costs, subcontractor pricing and procurement.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong commercial awareness.
• The ability to manage multiple tenders and competing deadlines.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• A proactive, organized approach and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
