You’ll be joining a Brisbane-based university using Salesforce across existing and new platforms, including CRM, Marketing and Education Cloud. Some of the environment is established. Some of it is being improved and remediated. Your role will be to help look after the whole platform, not just one narrow part of it.

This will suit you if you are a hands-on Salesforce Administrator who likes ownership, cares about platform quality, and enjoys being close to the people who use the system.

The role

As the Senior Salesforce System Administrator, you’ll help keep Salesforce stable, secure and useful across a large university environment.

You’ll work across day-to-day administration, user support, configuration, platform improvement, release support and governance.

You’ll be the person helping make sure Salesforce is well managed across CRM, marketing, engagement, alumni-style use cases and Education Cloud.

You’ll work with the Salesforce Program Manager, architects, business analysts, DevOps specialists and business stakeholders. You won’t be working in isolation, but you will be trusted to take real ownership of the admin layer of the platform.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll manage Salesforce users, roles, profiles, permission sets, licences and access controls.

You’ll support Salesforce CRM, Marketing and Education Cloud usage across existing and new platform areas.

You’ll provide practical support to users, helping resolve issues and improve how teams use Salesforce.

You’ll configure Salesforce using declarative tools such as Flow, Approval Processes, Assignment Rules, Lightning pages, page layouts and permission structures.

You’ll support sandbox management, release management and controlled deployment processes.

You’ll help identify technical debt, platform risks, security issues and improvement opportunities.

You’ll document changes, support adoption and create guidance that helps users get better value from Salesforce.

You’ll help improve and remediate the platform while also keeping the current environment running properly.

What we’re looking for

You’ll bring strong hands-on Salesforce administration experience.

You might currently be a Salesforce Administrator, Senior Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce System Administrator, Salesforce Platform Administrator or Salesforce Consultant with strong admin capability.

Higher education experience would be useful, but it is not essential.

Experience in adjacent environments would be very relevant, particularly CRM, marketing, membership, alumni, engagement, customer service or stakeholder management platforms.

You’ll be comfortable working in a complex Salesforce environment where different teams use the platform in different ways.

You’ll understand Salesforce security, user access, profiles, permission sets, configuration, support and release processes.

Salesforce Administrator certification is preferred. If you are not certified yet but are actively working towards it, we are still happy to talk.

Location

The university is based in Brisbane.

Brisbane-based candidates are very welcome and would spend regular time in the office.

We can also consider candidates in Sydney, Melbourne or other eastern Australian cities, provided you are willing to travel to Brisbane occasionally. As a guide, there will be an expectation to attend the Brisbane office at least once per month.
