The opportunity

A managing general agent that works with independent agents is adding a First Notice of Loss Representative to its claims team in Broward County. This person takes the first call after a loss and sets each claim up so the adjuster can start work right away.

What you'll own

  • Take first notice of loss reports by phone and in writing
  • Collect complete policyholder and claimant details for each incident, following company guidelines
  • Enter every claim in the claims system accurately, the first time
  • Walk policyholders and claimants through the claims process and what happens next
  • Keep callers steady and informed on what's often a hard day
  • Meet quality and customer satisfaction targets

What the firm is looking for

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Eligible to obtain a 620 insurance license, where the role requires it
  • At least 1 year of customer-facing phone work, in a call center or in insurance
  • Clear phone manner and clean written communication
  • Calm under pressure, with a habit of getting details right
  • Comfortable prioritizing a full queue and taking feedback
