An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced HR Officer to join a South Australian State Government Department on an immediate-start contract through to the end of the year.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated HR professional to contribute to a busy government environment and provide high-quality HR support across a range of functions.
About the Role:
Working at an ASO3/4 level ($47.50 - $52.70 Per Hours Plus Super - inclusive of casual loading), you will provide day-to-day HR administration and support to managers and employees across the department.

A current National Police Check (issued within 6-12 months) is mandatory for this position.

- Providing general HR advice and administrative support to employees and managers
- Supporting recruitment and onboarding processes
- Maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems
- Assisting with HR correspondence, documentation and reporting
- Supporting employee lifecycle processes, including leave, transfers and separations
- Assisting with workforce and HR projects as required
- Responding to HR enquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Ensuring HR processes are delivered in accordance with relevant policies, procedures and government requirements
- Previous experience in an HR Officer, HR Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of HR processes and administration
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines
- A professional and confidential approach to handling sensitive employee information
- Experience working within a government or large corporate environment will be highly regarded
- Relevant HR qualifications or equivalent experience will be advantageous
