Davidson has partnered with Barwon Water to appoint a Process Analyst to help build the organisational capability required to support one of regional Victoria’s most significant transformation agendas.

Barwon Water delivers water, sewerage and recycled water services to more than 330,000 people across the Geelong region and surrounding communities. Through a major Digital Business Transformation program, the organisation is investing in new technologies, operating models and ways of working that will shape the future of the business and the communities it serves.

About the Transformation

Barwon Water is moving beyond traditional project delivery and creating a capability-led transformation model designed to support the organisation’s long-term future.

As significant initiatives such as the implementation of IBM Maximo and other digital transformation investments progress, a key priority is ensuring leaders and teams are equipped to successfully absorb, adopt and sustain change. Rather than owning change activities directly, Barwon Water is focused on building lasting change leadership capability across the organisation.

About the Role

As the process analyst you will work closely with stakeholders across the business to uncover how work truly operates, assess capability maturity, and translate insights into clear, structured outputs that support strategic decision-making and investment planning.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead capability assessments and maturity evaluations across business functions
  • Analyse and document current state processes, including informal workflows
  • Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to extract insights
  • Translate complex findings into clear, decision-ready outputs
  • Align insights with the Business Capability Model (BCM)
  • Support strategy development, prioritisation, and transformation planning

About You

  • Proven experience in process analysis, business analysis, or capability modelling
  • Hands-on experience with process mapping tools such as Visio, Signavio, or Lucidchart
  • Strong background in stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation
  • Ability to work through ambiguity and structure complex information
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts
  • Experience working in large or complex organisational environments
  • Relevant qualification in business, IT, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
