Davidson is partnering with a significant human and social services organisation to appoint a Workplace Relations Manager to lead its workplace and industrial relations agenda across a diverse and complex operating environment.
This is an influential opportunity for an accomplished workplace relations professional who combines deep technical expertise with commercial judgement and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments.
As the organisation's senior subject matter expert, you will partner with executives and leaders to shape workplace relations strategy, manage risk and provide pragmatic advice across complex employee and industrial matters.
The opportunity
You will:
- Lead workplace and industrial relations strategy across a complex, multi-entity organisation.
- Provide expert advice to executives and senior leaders on complex and sensitive matters.
- Lead enterprise bargaining, union negotiations and consultation.
- Manage significant ER/IR matters, disputes and complex investigations.
- Represent and support the organisation in Fair Work Commission proceedings and industrial disputes.
- Advise on organisational change, transformation and associated workforce risks.
- Strengthen workplace relations governance, policies and frameworks.
- Coach leaders and build organisational capability in effective workplace relations.
About you
You will be an established workplace relations, industrial relations or employment law professional with experience operating in a complex organisation.
Your background will ideally include:
- Significant experience across workplace relations, industrial relations and complex employee relations.
- Strong enterprise bargaining and union negotiation experience.
- Experience managing complex disputes, investigations and sensitive workplace matters.
- Strong knowledge of the Fair Work Act, modern awards and enterprise agreements.
- Exposure to Fair Work Commission matters and other relevant tribunals.
- The ability to provide commercially pragmatic advice and influence senior stakeholders.
- Experience within a complex, multi-site, regulated or workforce-intensive environment.
Tertiary qualifications in law, human resources, employment relations, business or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
