Our client is a high‑profile Australian Government organisation operating at the forefront of national security, cyber defence and advanced technology. They play a critical role in protecting Australia from global threats and supporting national interests through cutting‑edge cyber and intelligence capabilities.

About the role

Provide leadership and management of a multi-disciplined project team and supervise and oversee all aspects of very complex project activities including finance, commercial, technical, risk, schedule, human resources and industry relationships.


Role Responsibilities

• Provide strategic advice to senior management, project teams and stakeholders on whole of life considerations.
• Review established technical, operational, professional and administrative activities, procedures, practices and project management methodologies and advise on the development of project management best practice and the reform initiatives.
• Integrate risk and opportunity management into planning, decision making and priority setting.
• Build and sustain a network of key stakeholders, communicate with influence and negotiate effectively.

Technical Skills

• Able to apply project management methodologies, e.g. PRINCE2
• Proficiency using project management tools.

The successful candidate will demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 6.

What is on offer

• 12-month contract, with 2 x 12-month extension options.

Security Requirements:

To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen. Due to the work environment, our client has requested that all candidates are required to hold a current, NV2 or TSPV Security Clearance. The successful candidate will need to undergo an additional security assessment before commencing in the role.
