The Role
As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to an exceptional standard. You'll work closely with the Project Manager, subcontractors and client representatives while leading site teams through every stage of construction.
Projects include a mix of commercial developments such as office buildings, education, community, government and mixed-use facilities across Canberra.

The Role

- Manage all on-site construction activities from site establishment through to handover.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel.
- Drive programme and productivity to ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Maintain the highest standards of WHS compliance and site safety culture.
- Ensure quality assurance processes are implemented throughout construction.
- Conduct site meetings and liaise with consultants, clients and project stakeholders.
- Identify and proactively resolve site issues before they impact programme.
- Mentor and develop leading hands, supervisors and junior staff.
- Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering commercial construction projects valued between $20M and $30M.
- Strong background with a reputable commercial builder.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple subcontractor trades simultaneously.
- Sound understanding of construction methodology, programming and sequencing.
- Strong focus on safety, quality and client satisfaction.
- Ability to build positive relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
- Relevant construction qualifications and current White Card.
