Apply directThe Receiving Associate is responsible for managing inbound shipments by receiving, inspecting, documenting, and organizing delivered goods. This role ensures all incoming products are accurate, undamaged, and properly recorded in the warehouse management system (WMS) while maintaining efficient inventory control and supporting daily warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unload inbound shipments in a safe and timely manner.
- Inspect deliveries for visible damage and verify shipment accuracy against purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices.
- Confirm correct quantities, item numbers, and product quality before accepting deliveries.
- Accurately enter received inventory into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) or other digital inventory software.
- Report discrepancies, shortages, damaged goods, or incorrect shipments to supervisors and coordinate with suppliers as needed.
- Organize and label received merchandise for proper storage within the warehouse.
- Maintain accurate receiving records and documentation.
- Follow all company safety policies and warehouse procedures.
- Keep the receiving area clean, organized, and efficient.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, shipping, or receiving experience is highly preferred.
- Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) is preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to bend, kneel, lift, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to safely lift and move materials in accordance with company guidelines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
