We’re seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant for a 3-month contract with a well-known and respected Australian organisation. This role offers the opportunity to be hands-on while working alongside a collaborative and high-performing finance team, with immediate start with the potential to convert permanent.
The Role
This is a hybrid Finance role, with approximately 65% focused on Financial Accounting and 35% dedicated to Budgeting, Financial Modelling and Commercial Analysis.
- Manage month-end close, including journals, accruals, prepayments and general ledger reconciliations.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, financial reports and support statutory reporting and year-end audits.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and assist with tax compliance and reporting.
- Oversee billing, supplier payments, direct debits and credit card reconciliations, ensuring strong financial controls.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and variance analysis to support business performance.
- Partner with stakeholders to provide financial insights and support commercial decision-making.
- Contribute to ERP implementation projects, including UAT, data validation and process improvements.
- Support the Financial Controller with ad hoc analysis, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Preferably be CA/CPA qualified
- Relevant experience within a commercial finance role
- Exposure to ERP implementation and Microsoft Dynamics 365 is Beneficial
