Line Chef (Chef de Partie) – European Cuisine

We are seeking experienced Line Chefs (Chef de Partie) to join a new restaurant opening in Hastings, Hawke’s Bay.
The restaurant will specialise in European cuisine, with a strong focus on à la carte service, alongside functions and other busy service periods.
This role is suited to chefs who can step into a professional kitchen, quickly understand what is required and hit the ground running with minimal training and supervision.
About the Role:
You will work as part of an experienced kitchen team, taking responsibility for your designated section and supporting both restaurant and function service.
You will need to be confident working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, hygiene and consistency.

- Have previous commercial kitchen experience
- Are confident working in an à la carte environment
- Have experience with European cuisine or similar styles
- Can confidently run a section independently
- Require minimal training and supervision
- Can quickly adapt to a new kitchen and menu
- Work effectively under pressure during busy services
- Are reliable and flexible with availability
- Take pride in food quality, consistency and presentation
- Have a professional and team-focused attitude
- Have the legal right to work in New Zealand
