Interim Senior IT Category Manager
West Sussex
Day Rate Inside IR35
Our Client, are looking to recruit an Interim Senior IT Category Manager to their Procurement team on an initial 6 months basis.
This is a busy and fast paced environment and you will have previous experience leading on IT Procurement in a complex environment to help drive operational excellence, drive value and ensure robust supplier performance.
As Interim Senior IT Category Manager you will:
Develop and own IT & Cyber category strategies aligned to the company’s business and technology objectives.
Lead end-to-end procurement activities across complex, high-value IT and Cyber categories.
Provide expert commercial support to Technology, Cyber, Digital, and wider business stakeholders.
Manage the full lifecycle of technology procurement including market engagement, sourcing, negotiation, and mobilisation.
Draft and negotiate commercial contracts ensuring alignment with risk, compliance, and operational needs.
Lead supplier relationship management, driving performance, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Ensure procurement activity adheres to overall governance, policies, and financial controls.
Maintain accurate category and supplier data across procurement systems.
Collaborate closely with Legal, Finance, Technology, and Cyber teams to deliver sourcing strategies.
Support continuous improvement of procurement processes and commercial frameworks.
Proactively manage commercial, operational, cyber, and supply-chain risk across IT & Cyber categories.
Suitable Candidates will bring:
Strong experience in IT procurement within large or complex organisations.
Strong understanding of commercial models including SaaS, cloud, managed services, licensing, and cyber solutions.
Proven track record delivering complex technology procurements and leading commercial negotiations.
Experience managing supplier performance, contracts, and service delivery frameworks.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with ability to influence senior stakeholders.
Evidence of continuous professional development in procurement, commercial, technology, or cyber domains.
Comfortable operating in an environment where policy is being developed and maturing gradually.
Preferred candidates will be based in the West Sussex area.
This is a day rate position. 3 days in the office, offered on an Inside IR35 basis.
