The role is highly operational, with a strong focus on Employee Relations, stakeholder support, and driving initiatives to improve engagement, retention, and manager capability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner closely with managers to deliver practical, business-aligned HR support across day-to-day operations.
- Take ownership of Employee Relations (ER) cases, including performance, conduct, and absence management.
- Provide hands-on HR support across the full employee lifecycle.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, coaching and supporting managers on effective people management.
- Support initiatives aimed at reducing labour turnover, identifying trends and implementing solutions.
- Upskill hiring managers to improve recruitment processes, interviewing capability, and hiring decisions.
- Drive and support engagement action plans, using employee feedback and data insights.
- Monitor and analyse HR metrics to identify risks and opportunities.
- Support organisational changes, including restructures and team adjustments where required.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in a Business Partner/Manager role within an operational setting.
- Strong knowledge of German employment law and HR best practices.
- Confident managing Employee Relations cases independently.
- A pragmatic, hands-on approach with the ability to quickly build credibility.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Experience in retention, engagement, and manager capability initiatives.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Fluency in German and English is essential.
