We are partnering with a government organisation seeking an experienced Principal Finance Advisor (AO7) to lead the review, optimisation and implementation of improvements across finance and business processes.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior finance professional with strong business improvement, governance and stakeholder engagement experience who enjoys delivering practical solutions and driving operational efficiency.

The Role Reporting into a collaborative leadership team, you will:

• Analyse financial and administrative processes to identify opportunities for improvement
• Lead and implement finance and business process optimisation initiatives
• Strengthen financial governance, compliance and internal controls
• Prepare business cases, recommendations and improvement proposals
• Utilise financial systems and data to provide insights and support decision-making
• Partner with a broad range of internal stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes

About You To be successful, you will demonstrate:

• Significant experience in finance, accounting or financial advisory roles
• Strong knowledge of financial governance, compliance and internal controls
• Experience leading business improvement, process review or transformation projects
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management capabilities
• Experience working with financial systems, reporting tools and data analysis platforms
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Highly Desirable

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
• CPA or CA qualifications
• Previous government experience
