Here's the exciting part... A brand-new large-format retail store is about to open in Grafton as part of the new Gateway Centre development — and we're looking for the Store Manager who will bring it to life.

With opening day only 6–8 weeks away, you'll join at exactly the right time.
This isn't a store you're inheriting.

It's yours to build.

• Recruit and build your team from scratch. You'll play a key role in selecting the people who will stand beside you on opening day and help create the culture you want your store to be known for.
• Lead a brand-new store opening. From pre-opening preparation and team onboarding through to launch and beyond, you'll have the opportunity to put your stamp on the operation from day one.
• Be properly supported before you take the keys. You'll experience an excellent onboarding program, spending time across other stores and learning the business before stepping into your own.
• Work for a retailer that genuinely invests in its people. You'll be trusted to make decisions, backed by experienced leaders and given every opportunity to build a long-term career.
• Have some work-life balance. You'll work only one Saturday a fortnight, giving you every alternate weekend off.

About you
You're already an accomplished Store Manager (or ASM ready to take a step up) from a medium or large-format retail environment, and you've built your reputation by getting the best out of both people and performance. 

You'll bring:

• Experience leading a sizeable retail operation — a medium sized team, plenty of customers and lots of moving parts.
• A strong track record of building great teams. You know what good looks like and how to bring different personalities together around a common goal.
• A genuine feel for the numbers. You understand what's driving performance, where opportunities sit and what needs attention.
• A knack for getting the best out of people. You set high expectations while creating an environment where people feel valued, supported and motivated.
• Strong retail instincts. Stock availability, merchandising, inventory, wage control, shrinkage and customer service are second nature.
• The confidence to make decisions and back yourself. You're comfortable taking ownership and creating structure when there isn't an established store routine to simply step into.
• A leadership style people naturally follow. You're visible, approachable, decisive and never afraid to roll up your sleeves alongside your team.
• Plenty of energy and ambition. You'll thrive on the buzz, challenge and excitement that comes with opening a new store.
