Job Title: Therapy Assistant
Location: Limerick Region
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

An established rehabilitation and transitional care service in the Limerick region is seeking Therapy Assistants to join its multidisciplinary team. The service supports adults transitioning from acute hospital care, with a strong focus on rehabilitation, reablement, and promoting independence.

The Therapy Assistants will work under the direction of qualified Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists, assisting in the delivery of patient-centred therapy programmes.

Key Responsibilities
• Support therapy staff in delivering rehabilitation and exercise programmes
• Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and functional activities
• Encourage independence in activities of daily living
• Prepare and maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas
• Observe, record, and report patient progress to the MDT
• Promote a safe, supportive, and respectful care environment

Requirements
• QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare Support, Nursing Studies, Community Care, or equivalent
• Previous experience in healthcare, rehabilitation, disability, or older persons services desirable
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Manual Handling training desirable
• Interest in rehabilitation and person-centred care
