Our client is a dynamic, ever-expanding market leader in the real estate development space. Our client is a creative, dynamic business and team looking for like-minded people to join us on our fascinating home-building journey. They are looking to strengthen the current Senior Leadership by bringing on a commercially driven Financial Controller to support ongoing expansion.
THE OPPORTUNITY
You will oversee managing a small accounting team and supplying financial know-how for the daily running of the accounting office. You will be fully responsible for all control functions, including payroll reviews, forecasts, tax returns, monthly report creation, the accuracy of balance sheet reconciliations, and other control activities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Working with the CEO and Board to support strategic initiatives around future growth
- Management and delivery of the monthly and annual financial statutory reporting in a timely and compliant manner
- Manage the balance sheet, cash-flow and forecasting process ensuring validity and accuracy
- Provide strategic advice to the management team around financial performance, capital works and associated matters
- Leadership of the finance function, including annual insurance renewals and landlord interaction
- Provide effective and supportive leadership - via mentorship of the finance team and support of individual projects
ABOUT YOU
- Qualified Accountant with a proven background in hands-on financial leadership role
- Prior experience leading a small accounting team, providing hands-on support and development - experience with companies working with Property Development or Construction is ideal
- Have experience or an interest to develop your portfolio
- Natural clear communicator, with the ability to effectively liaison with fellow leadership alongside stakeholders with non-finance backgrounds (e.g., property developers)
- Proven track record of sustained achievement and progression
- Previous experience in financial mentorship role is desirable
Salary Package: $115k + benefits
