Internal Sales – Power Transmission

The Opportunity

My client is an established global engineering business supplying industrial power transmission equipment and mechanical drive solutions to customers across mining, manufacturing and heavy industry.

They are looking for an experienced Internal Sales professional to join their Perth team.

This is a customer-focused position involving technical enquiries, quotations, order processing and day-to-day sales support. Working closely with customers and internal teams, you'll help ensure enquiries are handled efficiently and customers receive the right products and support for their applications.

The role would suit someone with an internal sales background in mechanical or industrial equipment who enjoys working with customers and has a good understanding of power transmission products.


Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer enquiries regarding industrial power transmission products
  • Prepare quotations, pricing and technical sales information
  • Process customer orders and follow up outstanding enquiries
  • Assist customers with product selection and equipment requirements
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal teams regarding pricing, availability and delivery
  • Support existing customer accounts and identify additional sales opportunities
  • Maintain accurate customer records, quotations and order information
  • Work closely with external sales and technical teams to support customer requirements
  • Provide regular updates to customers regarding orders and deliveries
  • Build strong relationships with industrial and engineering customers


About You

  • Previous experience in internal sales, sales support or customer service within an industrial or engineering environment
  • Knowledge of power transmission products, mechanical drives or related industrial equipment
  • Exposure to gearboxes, geared motors, couplings, bearings or similar mechanical components highly regarded
  • Confidence handling technical customer enquiries and preparing quotations
  • Strong communication and customer relationship skills
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple enquiries and priorities
  • Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office
  • Mechanical trade, engineering or technical background advantageous
  • A proactive approach to customer service and problem-solving
