Job Position: Direct Hire: Tooling Technician

Location: GARLAND, TX 75041

Pay Rate: $28.00/hr

Shift: 6:45am-3:05pm M-F Occasional Saturdays

Description:

Perform preventative maintenance on tools.

Perform predictive maintenance on tools.

Maintain inventories of mold polishing supplies, spare mold components, interchangeable inserts,

and general shop supplies. .

Perform general maintenance on tools.

Ability to troubleshoot mold function problems.

Provide unique solutions to problems or concerns.

Maintain and update tool storage, as needed.

Ability to multitask and work in environment with multiple activities / interruptions going on.

Read and interpret precision instruments.

Use of hand tool and power tools.

Ability to run CNC machinery, as needed.

Process detailed instruction for subcontracted work.

Track work time in Clarion’s ERP system.

Ability to operate lathe, grinders and milling machinery.

Basic knowledge of welding (Mig and Tig welding if applicable).

Basic knowledge of Hot runner and valve gate systems.

Basic knowledge of Hydraulic issues.

Participate, as needed, in internal problem solving/improvement activities.

Other duties as assigned by management.

Completion of Mold Maker apprenticeship and/or 5 years of experience as a Mold Maker.

Ability to read and comprehend all levels of design drawings.

Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of associates.

Perform basic math skills – addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, algebra, trigonometry, geometry.

Ability to lift up to 50lbs. and torque up to 350 lbs.

Ability to support overtime during the week or weekends.

Ability to work extended/flexible hours, as needed.

Must be able to operate a Forklift and Crane and follow Lockout/Tagout procedures.
