Ethos BeathChapman is partnering with a global insurance organisation to appoint a Delegated Authority Manager.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a highly regarded insurance platform operating across the Australian and international specialty insurance market. Working closely with senior stakeholders locally and globally, you will play a pivotal role in the governance, oversight and ongoing management of a portfolio of delegated authority arrangements and MGA partnerships. The position sits at the intersection of insurance operations, governance, risk oversight and stakeholder management, offering broad exposure across the insurance value chain.

About the Role
As Delegated Authority Manager, you will be responsible for supporting and enhancing the delegated authority operating model, ensuring robust governance, oversight and performance across external insurance partners.
Key responsibilities include:

• Managing delegated authority and MGA relationships throughout the full partnership lifecycle
• Supporting onboarding, due diligence and ongoing oversight activities
• Coordinating governance, monitoring and assurance frameworks across third-party partners
• Facilitating risk assessments and maintaining an effective control environment
• Overseeing complaints management processes, including engagement with relevant dispute resolution bodies where required
• Coordinating agency audits and monitoring remediation activities
• Driving adherence to regulatory obligations, internal standards and governance requirements
• Producing management information, dashboards and performance reporting to support decision making
• Partnering with local and international stakeholders to continuously improve operating model effectiveness
• Supporting initiatives that strengthen underwriting governance, partner oversight and operational excellence.

About You
You may come from an underwriting agency, insurer, reinsurer or broader insurance environment and bring experience working with delegated authority arrangements, underwriting operations, governance or oversight frameworks.
To be successful, you will possess:

• Experience within insurance, reinsurance, underwriting agencies or delegated authority environments
• Strong knowledge of MGA, agency or delegated authority operating models
• Experience in governance, operational oversight, risk, audit or insurance operations
• Exposure to complaints management and regulatory requirements within the insurance sector
• Strong analytical, reporting and problem-solving capability
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
• The ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
• A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and delivery.
