Harrison McMillan is seeking a Support Officer (APS4) to work with a Federal Government Department in their corporate team.

Role

This role will be part of a small, agile team that supports both operational and strategic HR functions and activities for the Department.

Success

  • Confidence engaging with staff and stakeholders

  • Ability to explain payroll or compliance matters

  • Proactive attitude in managing routine queries and tasks

  • Flexibility to assist with changing priorities, including small projects and helpdesk coverage

  • Draft clear, accurate correspondence and reports

Experience

  • 6 months Human Resources experience

  • Experience in payroll or compliance roles.

  • Working in an APS or similar environment

This role is for immediate start on an initial 3-month non-ongoing contract to 30th June 2026
