We have multiple temporary positions available across the Perth Metropolitan area, spanning a variety of teams and functions within well-respected councils. Whether you come from a technical, operational, or corporate administration background, we want to hear from you!

Overview

We are currently placing experienced administrators across a range of Local Government teams including Technical Services, Design, Waste Services, and Procurement and Contracts. These are temporary contracts with genuine opportunities for extension or permanency for the right candidates.

No two days will look the same, you could be supporting a busy depot operation one day and managing contracts and compliance the next. What remains consistent across all roles is the need for a proactive, organised, and customer-focused professional who takes pride in delivering high quality administrative support.

Responsibilities may include

  • Providing efficient and effective administrative support to internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Managing correspondence, preparing reports, meeting minutes, and general documentation
  • Maintaining accurate records, registers, and data within council systems
  • Supporting procurement, purchasing, and financial administration processes
  • Liaising with contractors, suppliers, residents, and internal staff in a professional manner
  • Monitoring compliance, actioning requests, and following up on outstanding matters
  • Assisting with inventory, stores management, and financial reporting where required
  • Adapting to the needs of the team and providing flexible support across departments

The successful candidates will demonstrate

  • Demonstrated experience in an administration role, ideally within Local Government
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry and record keeping
  • Well-developed time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • A customer-focused mindset with strong interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Possession of a current C Class Driver's Licence
  • Possession of or ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
