Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Cell Technician to join our client's manufacturing team. The Cell Technician will support daily production operations by assisting with machine operation, quality inspections, material handling, packaging, and maintaining a safe and organized production area.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, and able to follow established procedures and quality standards.

Available Shifts

  • 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Schedule Note: The work schedule may transition to a seven-day production schedule in the future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Lead Process Technician with maintaining a safe, clean, organized, and efficient production floor.

  • Perform quality checks and inspections according to established procedures.

  • Complete required production and quality documentation accurately.

  • Perform final audits on completed jobs and identify non-conforming product.

  • Follow product traceability procedures, including lot numbers, serial numbers, box counts, and labeling requirements.

  • Print, apply, and maintain product labels and packaging materials.

  • Operate barcode printers and replace labels and ribbons as needed.

  • Monitor machines and ensure the appropriate raw materials are being used.

  • Record material lot numbers and other production information in the company's computer system.

  • Perform moisture analysis of materials using a moisture analyzer.

  • Properly identify and handle raw materials and finished products.

  • Prepare cartons and packaging according to job instructions.

  • Move raw materials, pallets, and finished goods to designated staging and storage areas.

  • Fill and label material bins and maintain accurate lot information.

  • Handle and label finished stock with the appropriate date and shift information.

  • Follow equipment safety procedures and understand basic equipment functions and potential issues.

  • Assist with routine equipment cleaning and maintenance.

  • Record scrap and downtime accurately in the production system.

  • Perform required first-shot, last-shot, and other quality checks.

  • Make cartons and wrap pallets for the shift.

  • Empty production floor garbage at the end of each shift.

  • Complete an accurate shift handoff and communicate important production information to the next shift.

  • Provide coverage for other team members during absences and vacations as needed.

  • Assist with loading and unloading deliveries as required, primarily on 1st Shift.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Approximately 1 year of related manufacturing experience preferred.

  • Previous experience working with computers or computerized production systems preferred.

  • Robotics and/or automation experience is a plus.

  • Previous manufacturing, plastics, injection molding, or production experience is helpful.

  • Ability to read and follow work instructions and packaging procedures.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to safely perform physical tasks associated with manufacturing, material handling, and packaging.

Preferred Training/Experience

  • Computer or production system training.

  • Robotics and/or automation training.

  • Experience with injection molding processes.

  • Decoupled molding training or experience is a plus.
