Our client is an established service based organisation with a large operational workforce supporting customers across South East Queensland. With a busy office environment and multiple moving parts each day, they are looking for an experienced Office Manager who can bring structure, accountability and positive energy to the team.
This is a hands on position suited to someone who enjoys being at the centre of a business, creating an organised workplace and ensuring expectations are followed through.
About the Role
As Office Manager, you will take ownership of the day to day operation of the office while supporting the Owner and Senior Leadership Team.
You will play an important role in building a positive workplace culture, improving internal organisation and ensuring administrative and compliance requirements are consistently completed across the team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the day to day operations of the office and ensuring the workplace runs efficiently
- Building a positive, accountable and collaborative office culture
- Coordinating diaries, meetings and appointments for the Owner and Senior Leadership Team
- Supporting leadership with meeting preparation, follow ups and general executive administration
- Driving accountability across the team for timesheets, job documentation and invoicing requirements
- Following up outstanding administration and ensuring internal deadlines are consistently met
- Maintaining office processes, procedures and administrative standards
- Coordinating office supplies, facilities and general workplace requirements
- Supporting onboarding and helping new employees understand office processes and expectations
- Identifying opportunities to improve systems, workflows and communication across the business
- Providing hands on administrative support during busy periods as required
About You
You will be an experienced Office Manager, Senior Administrator or Executive Assistant who is comfortable taking ownership and holding people accountable.
You will ideally bring:
- Previous experience managing the day to day operations of a busy office
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to stay across multiple priorities
- Experience coordinating senior leadership diaries and meetings
- Confidence following up employees and enforcing administrative requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across office and operational teams
- A proactive and solutions focused approach
- Excellent attention to detail and follow through
- The confidence to introduce structure while maintaining positive team relationships
Experience within trades, construction, maintenance, field services or another operational environment would be highly regarded.
