We're partnering with a global industry leader to find an Accounts Payable & General Accounting Officer to join their collaborative Finance team on an initial 6-month contract, with the genuine possibility of extension.

What you'll be doing
No two days are exactly the same. You'll play a key role in keeping the finance and accounting function running smoothly while partnering with stakeholders across Australia and New Zealand.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Being the go-to contact for Accounts Payable enquiries across Australia and New Zealand
• Partnering with the offshore shared services team to resolve complex AP issues
• Reviewing and coding invoices, ensuring accurate cost allocation
• Managing supplier queries and building strong vendor relationships
• Maintaining vendor master data with a high level of accuracy
• Coordinating urgent, manual and foreign currency payments
• Supporting employee expense reimbursements through Concur
• Driving process improvements and supporting the rollout of new AP initiatives
• Performing supplier reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
• Preparing payment files for banking approval
• Investigating unidentified cash transactions
• Producing AP reports to support the Finance team
• Assisting with corporate credit card administration
• Supporting the wider Finance team with general accounting tasks as required

About you
You’re someone who enjoys solving problems, takes pride in getting the details right and loves finding smarter ways of doing things.

You'll bring:

• Previous experience in Accounts Payable, with exposure to General Accounting highly regarded
• Experience using Concur (or similar expense management systems) would be a bonus
• A naturally curious mindset with a passion for improving processes
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to build relationships across all levels of the business
• Strong attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where priorities can change
• A positive attitude, willingness to learn and a team-first approach
