Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Officer with strong skills. In this role, you will administer the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations. You will also identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to streamline processes and increase efficiency. This role requires you to handle payroll queries and escalations from employees and stakeholders, providing timely and accurate responses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer payroll calculations, deductions, tax filings, and payment processing.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline payroll operations.
  • Demonstrate a sound knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and Local Awards and multiple EAs interpretation.
  • Provide effective support for payroll-related inquiries from employees and stakeholders.
Key Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Officer, ideally within a public sector organisation.
  • Experienced in high volume of payroll in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance.
  • Proficiency in payroll systems.
