Assistant Treasurer

On behalf of a world leading organisation, we are looking for a skilled Assistant Treasurer, with a focus on technical risk management and treasury activities. The key responsibilities of the Assistant Treasurer are:

• Oversee accounting aspects related to treasury activities, including accounts reconciliation, reporting, and assisting with audits.

• Ensure compliance with IFRS 9 and IFRS 7, with a focus on hedge accounting, documentation, and effectiveness testing.

• Support the treasury team in managing credit risk pricing and cash management.

• Assist with internal and external financing activities.

• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes.

• Lead and mentor a small team within the treasury function.

The key requirements for the Assistant Treasurer position are:

• Strong experience in treasury, risk management, and accounting, with a particular focus on IFRS 9 and IFRS 7 compliance.

• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to lead and manage risk mitigation strategies.

• Experience with hedge accounting and financial reporting.

• Proven leadership and team management experience.

• Knowledge of transfer pricing and intercompany loan management.

• Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

• Experience in a Big 4 accounting firm or a relevant industry position.
