About the client

This is a federal government agency running a genuinely mature, single-vendor Microsoft environment: Dynamics 365, Azure, Power Platform and the full Microsoft 365 stack, all connected rather than bolted together. The Dynamics 365 program itself replaced an ageing legacy CRM and has been embedded, owned and iterated on for years rather than freshly stood up. You will not be walking into a rebuild-from-scratch situation or a vendor sprawl mess. This is a well-funded, stable digital environment with room to do proper engineering.

About the role

As Senior Dynamics 365 CRM Developer, you will build and extend a live Dynamics 365 Customer Service solution used across a multi-disciplinary agile team, working alongside a platform architect and fellow developers rather than in isolation. Your work will span configuration and customisation of D365, extension of Dataverse through the Power Platform, and integration work across the broader Microsoft and Azure estate. You will also carry real responsibility for the security posture of what you ship, not just the functionality. This is a build and problem-solving role for someone who wants technical latitude inside a stable, well-governed program. We will consider candidates based in Queensland, the ACT, Victoria or New South Wales, working in a hybrid arrangement with three days a week in the office.

Duties

• Provide Dynamics 365 CRM specific technical recommendations as part of the wider solution design.
• Develop and extend Dynamics 365 solutions, with a particular focus on Customer Service.
• Perform system analysis, investigate technical problems and document findings clearly.
• Liaise directly with business users and project stakeholders on both technical and non-technical matters.
• Work closely with the wider development team, contributing to process and skill improvement.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in an ICT-related field, or equivalent industry certification.
• Proven experience as a Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions developer using .NET Core, C#, JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience configuring and customising Dynamics 365 Customer Service.
• Experience extending and automating Dataverse: Power Automate, business process flows and business rules, JavaScript and plugins, Power Apps and Power Pages, Function Apps and Logic Apps, and consuming Web APIs.
• Solid grasp of secure software development principles and the OWASP Top 10, with the ability to identify, assess and remediate vulnerabilities across applications, integrations and APIs.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to communicate clearly at technical, business and personal levels.
• Must hold, or be eligible for prompt reinstatement of, a Baseline security clearance or above. This is essential, not preferred.
• Desirable: experience building DevOps build and release pipelines, building web apps with ASP.NET Core and ReactJS, and working within Agile or Scrum teams.
• Nice to have: exposure to Copilot or AI-assisted features within the Power Platform or Dynamics 365 is a plus given the direction of the wider Microsoft stack, though not required.
