The Role:

You will be responsible for managing tenders from initial review through to submission, working closely with senior management, project managers and engineers.
The role will focus primarily on residential subdivisions and TMR road infrastructure projects, providing exposure to a diverse range of civil works.
Key Responsibilities
- Review tender documentation, plans, specifications and scopes of work.
- Prepare detailed estimates and quantity take-offs.
- Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Prepare competitive tender submissions and pricing schedules.
- Identify project risks, exclusions and opportunities.
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and clients.
- Work closely with the project delivery team throughout the tender process.
- Assist with tender reviews and successful project handovers.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Civil Estimator within the Australian civil construction industry.
- Experience estimating subdivision and/or TMR projects.
- Strong understanding of earthworks, roads, drainage, pavements and associated civil infrastructure.
- Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
- Strong quantity take-off, pricing and commercial skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
- Strong Excel skills, with experience using CostX, Expert Estimation, Bluebeam, PlanSwift or Benchmark highly regarded.
- Relevant civil engineering, construction management or quantity surveying qualifications advantageous but not essential.
