Sr. Boiler Technician

Our Client is seeking a Senior Boiler Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing boilers, pumps, water lines, and all related systems and equipment. They will also troubleshoot heating boilers and fuel power boilers with complex problems and extensive repairs.

This position requires working in industrial environments such as factories, power plants, campuses, hospitals, commercial and residential properties. The Boiler Technician will complete and record their services through various paperwork.

The position requires working a rotating on-call schedule, potentially 7 days a week during busy times. The Boiler Technician will work various hours when customers are in need, including some nights, weekends, and holidays. The position reports directly to the Field Service Manager and ensures positive employee relations while practicing company values.

Responsibilities include diagnosing, repairing, and installing equipment, communicating with clients and dispatch to find the best solutions, keeping track of time, material, equipment, and logs on completed invoices, and ensuring installations and repairs meet or exceed client expectations. The Boiler Technician must maintain a clean and organized workplace and vehicle.

• REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
• Ensure duties and company projects are accomplished in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
• Mechanical and electrical background is a must.
• Support other technicians and management with internal and external projects.
• Have knowledge of PLC’s, transformers, transmitters, and other controls.
• Wire all controls and motors for water tube and firetube boilers and auxiliary equipment.
• Familiarity with condensate tanks and deaerators.
• Reads and understands wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Able to trouble shoot, fire, and set combustion on all types of boilers.
• Determine valve trim, regulator size and spring, oil gun length and size, and all other parts and accessories needed to fire any boiler.
