Primary and Secondary Schools - Casual Relief Teacher (CRT)

The Role:

• Immediate start, Term 4 2026
• Full time as a CRT
• Travel/accomodation allowance may be available for the successful teacher
• Expect a Star is working closely with the Department of Education, independent and catholic schools, to support with their emergency Casual Relief Teacher (CRT) and Full-time needs. We are liaising directly with the School Principals to select and assign high quality Primary and Secondary generalist teachers when their needs arise.

 
What you will do:

• Deliver engaging lesson plans and activities, while maintaining a positive, inclusive and safe classroom environment.
• Effectively manage classroom behaviour and uphold school expectations and policies.
• Supervise students during transitions and designated duties as required, including playground supervision.
• Collaborate professionally with support staff to accurately record and communicate incidents, student progress and relevant feedback in accordance with the school’s policies and procedures.

 
What you need:

• Relevant teaching qualifications and experience
• Valid VIT registration
• Up to date child safety training
• 2x professional referees
• Availability through 4 2026, and sometimes at short notice
