AP Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and process invoices with proper coding and authorization
  • Manage the complete accounts payable cycle from invoice receipt to payment
  • Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain organized vendor files and payment records
  • Prepare electronic transfers and checks for payments
  • Support month-end closing procedures, including ledger reconciliations
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries about payments and invoices
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
  • Assist in the preparation of 1099 forms at year-end

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in an Accounts Payable role
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting principles, and systems
  • Proficiency in NetSuite and Bill.com (must-have experience)
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience in Oracle NetSuite preferred
  • Additional experience with ERP systems or related financial software

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field highly desired
  • Prior remote work experience is a plus

Additional Requirements:

  • Fully remote position; PST hours (8am-5pm) with some flexibility during month-end close
  • Ability to start immediately and commit to approximately 5+ months
  • System proficiency in NetSuite and Bill.com essential
