Key responsibilities

  • Administer Exchange hybrid / on-prem infrastructure
  • Provision/deprovision mailboxes & shared accounts
  • Configure transport rules, SMTP routing & connectors
  • Manage anti-spam, anti-phishing & Safe Links/Attachments
  • Handle retention policies, litigation hold & eDiscovery
  • Manage AV/content filtering via Symantec Messaging Gateway
  • Run Exchange backups & restores using Arcserve
  • Oversee Azure AD Connect & identity lifecycle (on-prem ↔ M365)
  • Support on-prem → Exchange Online migrations
  • Troubleshoot mail flow, mailbox access & performance issues
  • Write PowerShell scripts to automate admin tasks
  • Create SOPs, architecture diagrams & configuration baselines
  • Liaise with Microsoft support & third-party vendors
  • Contribute to licensing optimisation & M365 roadmap planning
