See the Whole Deal, Not Just One Piece of It

Join a growing M&A Tax team with an established pipeline of transactions, typically valued at £15m-£50m and extending beyond £100m. Working directly with Partners and Directors, you'll gain end-to-end exposure across buy-side due diligence, sell-side advisory, restructuring and post-deal work - with the opportunity to grow alongside a service line already benefiting from significant demand.

Package / Benefits

Strong overall package with pay reviewed every six months, based on factors including your development, delivery and wider contribution.

Benefits include hybrid working, 25 days' annual leave plus three days at Christmas, pension, life and critical illness cover, income protection, wellbeing support, professional subscriptions and twice-yearly promotion opportunities. You'll also have access to flexible benefits and the option to buy or sell additional annual leave.

Why This Business

Join an established multidisciplinary professional advisory firm with UK strength and international reach through a top 10 global accounting and advisory network.

Importantly, this hire isn't based on anticipated growth. The M&A Tax team is expanding to service growth already achieved, with a strong pipeline of quality work and clear ambitions to grow the offering substantially. Work is generated through direct client and intermediary referrals alongside a close relationship with an in-house Corporate Finance team.

You'll advise owner-managed businesses, shareholders and an increasing number of institutional buyers and investors, with visibility across transactions from start to finish.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead day-to-day delivery across M&A tax projects, working directly with Partners and Directors.

  • Deliver buy-side due diligence, pre-sale restructuring, transaction structuring and post-deal advisory work.

  • Manage communication with clients, professional advisers and transaction stakeholders throughout the deal lifecycle.

  • Develop junior colleagues through delegation, coaching and hands-on transaction experience.

What You'll Bring

  • Proven UK transaction tax experience gained within practice, across advisory and/or due diligence.

  • CTA qualification, ideally alongside ACA or ACCA.

  • Strong UK tax technical knowledge and the ability to apply it commercially to transactions.

  • Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to build trusted client and stakeholder relationships.

Who This Suits

You're an M&A tax professional who wants to see more of the transaction, broaden your technical exposure and take greater responsibility for delivery. You're commercially minded, comfortable operating around transaction deadlines and ready for greater visibility with senior colleagues and clients.
