Job Summary
The Clinical Value Analysis Coordinator is responsible for leading and owning the end-to-end value analysis process across the provider organization. This role partners closely with physicians, nursing leadership, and operational stakeholders to evaluate clinical products, reduce unwarranted variation, and drive evidence-based decision making across the medical/surgical portfolio. The Coordinator will serve as a key clinical liaison, facilitating physician-facing discussions, particularly within perioperative and heart & vascular service lines, while ensuring alignment between clinical practice, supply chain strategy, and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the full lifecycle of the value analysis process, including intake, evaluation, committee governance, decision documentation, and implementation tracking.
- Lead and facilitate clinical value analysis committees and governance structures, ensuring alignment across physicians, nursing, and executive leadership.
- Engage directly with physicians and clinical leaders to evaluate products, technologies, and clinical practices, with a focus on perioperative and heart & vascular specialties.
- Interpret and present clinical evidence, utilization data, and financial analyses to support informed, evidence-based decision making.
- Drive standardization initiatives, utilization optimization, and variation reduction across clinical service lines.
- Partner with sourcing and contracting teams to support RFP processes, product evaluations, vendor demonstrations, and contract alignment.
- Collaborate with GPO to optimize contract utilization, tier alignment, and overall portfolio performance.
- Identify and execute cost savings and value improvement opportunities, developing structured workplans and tracking outcomes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, nursing leaders, and executive stakeholders to influence adoption and sustain change.
- Ensure clear documentation of decisions, clinical rationale, and audit trails to support governance and compliance.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required; clinical degree (e.g., Nursing) strongly preferred. Advanced degree is highly desired.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare operations, clinical value analysis, or supply chain required. Demonstrated experience working with physician stakeholders and leading clinical product evaluations is required. Experience in perioperative services and/or heart & vascular categories (including physician preference items such as implants and devices) is strongly preferred.

- Strong clinical acumen with the ability to engage in credible, data-driven discussions with physicians and clinical leaders.
- Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and navigate complex stakeholder environments.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and financial skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Understanding of value analysis methodologies, clinical evidence evaluation, and utilization management.
- Familiarity with sourcing and contracting processes, including RFP support and vendor evaluation.
- Proficiency with standard business tools (spreadsheets, presentations, documentation platforms).
