Shipping Associate

Nesco Resource is hiring a Shipping Associate in Horseheads, NY. You'll prepare customer orders for shipment, check that products and quantities are correct, and keep shipping and inventory records accurate. On-the-job training is provided.

Position type: Temporary with the opportunity to transition to full-time employment

What you'll do

• Count, package, weigh, and label products according to order requirements.
• Verify part numbers, quantities, and packaging instructions before shipment.
• Prepare labels, packing slips, and other shipping documents.
• Enter finished goods and shipping information into computer systems.
• Report shortages or discrepancies and assist with inventory counts.
• Keep the shipping area organized and follow safety procedures.

What we're looking for

• High school diploma or GED.
• Accurate counting, basic math, and computer skills.
• Ability to follow packaging and shipping instructions.
• Shipping, warehouse, inventory, or manufacturing experience is preferred, but not required.
• Experience with ERP systems, UPS, FedEx, LTL freight, or forklifts is a plus.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and frequently handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
