Cyber Security Project Manager

Senior Project Manager - Cyber Security | 12 Month Contract |Lead high-impact cyber transformation initiatives within a large-scale critical infrastructure environment.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager - Cyber Security to drive the successful delivery of strategic cyber security initiatives within a major Cyber Security Uplift Program. This is an opportunity to lead complex projects that directly contribute to the protection, resilience, and security of critical business systems, services, and data.
Working within a large and complex technology environment, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of cyber security projects, partnering with executive stakeholders, technical specialists, and external vendors to achieve key program outcomes.

The Opportunity Reporting to the Program Manager, Cyber Security, you will manage multiple cyber security initiatives that form part of a broader Cyber Security Risk Management Program. You will play a critical role in delivering projects that strengthen organisational cyber maturity while ensuring project outcomes are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex cyber security projects from initiation through to implementation and closure.
• Manage project business cases, planning, governance, budgets, schedules, risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Engage and influence stakeholders across executive, operational, and technical teams.
• Coordinate internal project resources, SMEs, and external delivery partners.
• Drive project outcomes using both Agile and traditional project delivery methodologies.
• Ensure effective vendor and supplier management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Deliver projects aligned to organisational cyber security strategies, frameworks, and compliance requirements.
• Provide regular reporting on project status, financials, risks, and benefits realisation.

About You
You are a highly accomplished Project Manager with extensive experience delivering large-scale cyber security initiatives within complex enterprise environments.
You will bring:

• 10+ years' experience managing end-to-end IT projects, with a strong focus on Cyber Security programs.
• Proven success delivering projects using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience leading project initiation activities, including business case development and approval processes.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Strong leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Excellent financial management capabilities including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and reporting.
• Outstanding risk, issue, dependency, and change management expertise.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• A collaborative leadership style and commitment to fostering inclusive, high-performing teams.

Highly Regarded Experience Experience delivering projects involving one or more of the following:

• Identity and Access Management (IAM)
• Privileged Access Management (PAM)
• Identity Governance and Administration (IGA)
• Enterprise Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
• Active Directory
• Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
• Zero Trust Security
• Information Security Governance, Risk and Compliance
• Security Policy and Architecture Development

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

• Formal Project Management certification or qualification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile or equivalent).
• Experience delivering Identity-related cyber security projects.
• Experience working within a Government Owned Corporation (GOC) or similarly complex regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of cyber security standards, principles, frameworks, and best practices.
