Davidson has partnered with Barwon Water to appoint an Agile Delivery Lead to play a pivotal role in driving the successful delivery of strategic technology and transformation initiatives across the organisation.

Barwon Water delivers water, sewerage and recycled water services to more than 330,000 people across the Geelong region and surrounding communities. Through a major Digital Business Transformation program, the organisation is investing in new technologies, operating models and ways of working that will shape the future of the business and the communities it serves.

About the Transformation

As Barwon Water continues to modernise its technology landscape, a number of complex initiatives are underway across digital platforms, enterprise applications and business-critical systems.

The organisation is seeking an experienced Agile Delivery Lead who can successfully navigate Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid delivery environments while coaching teams to continuously improve their ways of working. Working across multiple squads and stakeholders, you will ensure delivery outcomes are achieved while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

This role requires a hands-on leader who can balance delivery excellence with people leadership, creating high-performing teams capable of delivering sustainable outcomes across the transformation portfolio.

About the Role

This is a leadership-focused delivery role, requiring someone who can own delivery outcomes while coaching and mentoring teams to maximise performance.

As the Agile Delivery Lead, you will be responsible for leading squads, driving delivery cadence, managing risks and dependencies, and ensuring initiatives are delivered effectively across both Agile and Hybrid environments. You will work closely with business stakeholders, vendors, product owners and technical teams to create alignment and maintain momentum throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach and develop Agile delivery teams and squads to achieve successful outcomes.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, showcases and backlog refinement sessions.
• Manage delivery planning, iteration management, team cadence and scope control.
• Drive delivery outcomes across Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid project environments.
• Maintain and actively manage RAID logs, risks, issues, dependencies and key delivery decisions.
• Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to prioritise work and ensure alignment to business objectives.
• Manage third-party vendors and delivery partners, ensuring accountability and successful execution.
• Monitor team performance, delivery metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide transparent reporting on delivery progress, risks and outcomes to senior stakeholders.
• Support the successful delivery of enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, including ERP programs where applicable.

About You

You are a hands-on delivery leader who thrives in complex transformation environments. Comfortable leading from the front, you have the ability to coach teams, remove impediments and create clarity in situations where priorities, stakeholders and delivery approaches may vary.

You bring strong stakeholder management skills, a pragmatic mindset and the ability to adapt delivery practices to meet organisational needs while maintaining a focus on value delivery.

Must-Have:

• Significant experience in Agile Delivery Lead, Scrum Master, Delivery Manager or similar leadership roles.
• Strong experience leading cross-functional squads and delivering outcomes in Agile, Hybrid and Waterfall environments.
• Advanced Jira experience, including backlog management, reporting, workflow management and delivery tracking.
• Demonstrated experience managing risks, issues, dependencies and delivery governance activities.
• Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and establishing effective team cadences.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence outcomes at all levels.
• Proven vendor and third-party delivery management experience.
• Track record of coaching and developing high-performing teams.

Nice-to-Have:

• Scrum Master background with Agile certifications such as Scrum Alliance, SAFe, ICAgile or equivalent.
• Experience delivering ERP transformation programs or enterprise technology implementations.
• Understanding of financial management, budget tracking and commercial delivery considerations.
• Experience working within large-scale digital transformation environments.
