Architect | Multi-Residential (Class 2) Projects | Melbourne

A well-established Melbourne architecture and design practice is seeking an experienced Architect to join its growing residential team, working on a range of large-scale Class 2 multi-residential developments across Victoria.

This is an opportunity to join a highly regarded studio with a strong project pipeline and work alongside experienced Project Leads and Directors on complex apartment and mixed-use developments from design development through to delivery.

The role would suit an Architect with approximately 6–10 years of post-graduate experience who enjoys the technical and delivery side of projects and is looking to take ownership of significant project packages while continuing to develop under strong leadership.

The Role Working closely with Project Architects and Project Leads, you will be responsible for:

• Design development and detailed documentation of large-scale Class 2 residential projects
• Preparing and coordinating Revit documentation packages
• Managing consultant coordination across multiple disciplines
• Ensuring compliance with NCC, building regulations and project requirements
• Supporting project delivery from planning through to construction documentation
• Assisting with project coordination and mentoring junior team members where required
• Contributing to project programming, technical resolution and quality assurance processes

This is not a Project Lead position, however there is scope for someone operating as a strong 2IC or Senior Architect to take on significant responsibility within project teams.

About You We are interested in speaking with candidates who have:

• 6–10 years' architectural experience within Australia
• Strong experience delivering multi-residential, mixed-use or Class 2 projects
• Registration as an Architect preferred
• D7B Practitioner registration highly regarded
• Advanced Revit capability and confidence producing and coordinating complex documentation packages
• Strong understanding of Australian construction methodologies, NCC and consultant coordination
• Experience working through Design Development, Documentation and Delivery phases
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Candidates from other sectors such as commercial, education, health, workplace or mixed-use projects may also be considered, provided they can demonstrate strong technical delivery capability and advanced Revit skills.
