Medical Reception

Location: Spring Hill, Brisbane
Length: 6–8 week temporary position, with potential to become permanent
Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm
Working Rights: Full Australian working rights required (No Working Holiday Visa)
Hourly Rate: Up to $37.00 per hour + super

The Organisation
Lotus People are partnering with a well-established specialist medical practice located in Brisbane’s Spring Hill medical precinct. This is a small, patient-focused team that prides itself on providing a warm, professional and supportive experience for patients attending outpatient specialist appointments.

The Role
As a Medical Receptionist, you’ll provide front-of-house support across a busy specialist practice. This role will suit someone who is warm, organised and confident working in a patient-facing environment.

You’ll be responsible for meeting and greeting patients, answering phones, managing appointments, processing payments and supporting the smooth running of the reception desk.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet and greet patients in a warm and professional manner
• Answer incoming calls and respond to patient enquiries
• Book and manage appointments
• Process payments following consultations
• Follow daily checklists and structured reception processes
• Support the wider team with general medical administration duties
• Provide calm, friendly and efficient front-desk support

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous medical reception or medical administration experience
• Ideally 2 years’ experience within a specialist medical practice
• Experience using Genie is highly regarded, but not essential
• Confident using medical practice management systems
• Warm, friendly and patient-focused communication style
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes
• Team player who is adaptable and willing to support where needed
• Full, unrestricted working rights in Australia
