This is a hands-on, all-rounder role suited to someone with strong technical skills, good customer service, and the ability to both install and quote electronic security systems. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, using computers and software confidently, and managing a variety of tasks across installations, service work, and customer support.

Position Overview

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, using computers and software confidently, and managing a variety of tasks across installations, service work, and customer support.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, program, test, and maintain security systems including:
- CCTV systems
- Alarm systems
- Access control systems
- Intercoms and smart security devices
- Diagnose faults and perform repairs/service work
- Conduct site inspections and prepare accurate quotes and estimates
- Communicate with customers to understand their security needs
- Provide system demonstrations and customer training
- Complete job documentation, reports, and service records
- Manage stock, tools, and materials for jobs
- Work independently or as part of a team
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship and professionalism
- Experience installing and servicing electronic security systems
- Strong computer skills and confidence using software, apps, and quoting systems
- Ability to prepare professional quotes and estimates
- Good understanding of networking and IP-based systems
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work unsupervised and manage time effectively
- Current driver's licence
- Cabling licence/security licence (preferred or required depending on location)
- Experience with brands such as:
- Hikvision
- Dahua
- Bosch
- Paradox
- UniFi
- Basic networking and IT knowledge
- Experience with smart home integration
- Sales or upselling experience
