This is acceleration, not turnaround. Specific responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing a sales team of 5 direct reports and over 30 indirect reports across account management, category and channel development, and strategic revenue management
- Deepening end-to-end retail partnerships across Chemist Warehouse, Woolworths, Coles, Priceline and Terry White
- Maintaining a heavy customer-facing rhythm - building senior relationships, dropping into strategy sessions, and ensuring retailer access at the right levels
- Collaborating closely with marketing, innovation and category teams to ensure sales activation is fully integrated with brand and NPD plans
- Driving joint business planning across all key accounts
- Contributing to the 3-year business strategy as part of the senior leadership group
- Presenting sales performance, budgets and strategic plans to the parent company board (at least 1-2x per year)
- Senior sales leadership experience at Sales Director, Head of Sales or Customer Director level, preferably - but not essentially - in FMCG
- A track record of delivering results in Woolworths, Coles or Chemist Warehouse isn't essential, but is highly desirable because winning with these retailers is vital to the business's success.
- Experience in categories with similar scale and complexity to health and wellness is required.
- Building trust and influence with all sorts of people, building relationships and creating win-win outcomes with diverse personalities.
- Thinking 'big picture', not defaulting to detail - instead zooming out to keep the long-term vision front and centre.
- Developing people by creating space for them, not by doing their jobs for them.
