PMO Analyst
Location: Cheltenham, VIC
Rate: $51 per hour + Super
Duration: 3-Month Temporary Assignment
We are currently seeking an experienced PMO Analyst to join a local government organisation based in Cheltenham for a 3-month temporary assignment.
This role will support the delivery of a major Capital Works Portfolio by providing portfolio reporting, project data analysis, system administration, and process improvement support.
Working closely with project teams and stakeholders, you will help drive project visibility, data integrity, and informed decision-making across a large capital program.

This role will support the delivery of a major Capital Works Portfolio by providing portfolio reporting, project data analysis, system administration, and process improvement support.
Working closely with project teams and stakeholders, you will help drive project visibility, data integrity, and informed decision-making across a large capital program.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and prepare Capital Portfolio reporting and performance analysis.
- Maintain and manage project data repositories to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and insights using Excel and Power BI.
- Support the implementation, administration, and enhancement of the Portfolio Project Management (PPM) platform.
- Gather business requirements and assist with system configuration, testing, and user adoption activities.
- Support data cleansing, migration, and integration activities across corporate systems.
- Monitor project performance against budget, schedule, scope, and risk indicators.
- Assist with portfolio budgeting, project evaluation, and forward planning processes.
- Contribute to PMO process improvement initiatives, governance, and continuous improvement activities.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Previous experience working within a PMO, Program Office, Portfolio Office, or Project Controls environment.
- Advanced Excel and Power BI skills.
- Experience using enterprise project management systems such as MS Project, Altus, Primavera P6, Project Online, or similar.
- Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities.
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Understanding of project management methodologies and governance frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to produce concise reports, dashboards, and executive-level insights.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience supporting capital works, infrastructure, or project portfolios.
- Previous Local Government experience.
- Qualifications in Project Management, Business, ICT, Engineering, or a related discipline.
