Senior Associate / Principal (Health)

A unique opportunity exists for a Senior Associate / Principal Architect to join a high-performing design team delivering one of New Zealand’s most significant public infrastructure programmes.

This is an opportunity to contribute to large-scale, complex projects that will have a lasting impact on communities across New Zealand, helping shape environments that improve people’s lives for generations to come.

We are looking for an experienced Architect who brings strong design capability, leadership experience and a passion for delivering meaningful projects. Health experience is highly regarded, but we are also open to professionals from other complex sectors including public sector, education, civic and major infrastructure projects.

The Role
This is a senior position with genuine influence. Working closely with project leadership and multidisciplinary teams, you will play a key role in shaping design outcomes, engaging with stakeholders and supporting the delivery of complex projects.

You will be involved in:

• Leading design discussions and driving design excellence
• Working with clients and stakeholders to understand needs and develop effective solutions
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across major programmes
• Mentoring and supporting emerging architects and designers
• Helping deliver projects that create meaningful community outcomes

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys the front end of architecture: understanding the challenge, shaping the design response, influencing outcomes and creating spaces that make a real difference.

What We’re Looking For

• Senior Associate / Principal level Architect
• Strong experience working on complex projects
• Background in health, civic, education, public sector or major infrastructure projects preferred
• Strong design thinking and client engagement skills
• Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
• A passion for creating impactful, people-focused environments
• Leadership qualities and the desire to influence future outcomes

Salary: Up to and exceeding NZ$220,000 + benefits (dependent on experience)
