WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT

• Serves as the primary legal point of contact on high profile, high complexity transactions
• Owns the full deal lifecycle, structuring through closing, with direct influence on how transactions get executed
• Bridges legal, actuarial, accounting, and tax complexity into sound contractual language at the deal table
• Manages outside counsel and advisors with accountability for quality, efficiency, and budget discipline
• Keeps the organization ahead of regulatory change across state law, offshore rulemaking, and federal tax and securities regimes

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school; active bar membership in at least one U.S. state
• 8+ years of transactional experience at a top tier law firm and/or in-house at a major financial services organization
• Direct, hands on experience drafting and negotiating complex treaty and agreement structures is required
• Working knowledge of cross border transactions across U.S. and offshore jurisdictions
• Strong command of risk transfer, collateral and trust mechanics, and multi jurisdictional regulatory regimes
• A practitioner who earns credibility with actuaries, finance leaders, and senior executives and can translate that fluency into contractual language that protects the business
