Crater/Packer

Nesco Resource is currently recruiting for a Crater/Packer for our client in Muncy, PA! The Crater/Packer
prepares and packs parts for shipping according to established practices and specific shipping order requirements. 

Job Duties

• Ensure safety devices are installed and operating properly. Report discrepancies and shut down equipment if needed.
• Assemble cardboard crates, boxes, and liners. Verify parts against packing lists and count to ensure accuracy.
• Inspect parts for defects or damage and report issues. Clean products as necessary.
• Mark cartons with contents, job number, address, and special instructions.
• Move materials using equipment like hand trucks and dollies. Use tools such as knives, tape dispensers, and staple guns.
• Read packing lists to determine job requirements and ensure proper materials are used.
• Build crates and boxes for items of various sizes and shapes, ensuring accuracy and neatness.
• Report unusual conditions or problems to the supervisor.
• Maintain good housekeeping and observe safety regulations.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 and Environmental Management System standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with six to twelve months of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, handle objects, and lift/move up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Pay:$17.00 per hour
Hours: 6:00 am-2:30 pm
