FurstStaffing is seeking an Informatics Support Person to join the team of a local healthcare organization. This position is ideal for someone with excellent customer service skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

This position requires handling a high volume of inbound patient calls, while delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include educating patients on clinic programs and protocols, managing patient flow, responding to patient inquiries, taking accurate messages, and completing patient pre-registration. While the primary focus of the role is supporting patient communication and care coordination, this position will also occasionally assist with scheduling patient appointments as needed.

The Informatics Support Person works closely with the ISP Manager and is responsible for maintaining compliance with all organizational policies and procedures, HIPAA regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines. This is a Furst-to-Hire opportunity.

Hours: Rotate between 8am-4:30pm and 9:30am-6pm; one evening shift each week, 10:30am-7:00pm, and one Saturday per month 8am to 12pm
Pay: $15.23, but pay increases with strong longevity and bi-lingual abilities

Informatic Support Responsibilities:

• Handle a high volume of inbound patient calls while providing professional, courteous, and efficient customer service.
• Respond to patient inquiries, route calls appropriately, and accurately document all phone encounters in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Coordinate with providers, nurses, and clinical support staff to address patient needs, support timely triage, and ensure efficient patient flow.
• Pre-register patients for appointments and provide information on clinic programs, services, and protocols.
• Monitor and respond to patient portal messages, maintaining accurate and detailed documentation of patient needs and concerns.
• Prioritize, collect, and prepare patient documentation for the care team to support quality patient care.
• Maintain composure in a fast-paced environment while effectively managing multiple priorities and meeting patient care needs.

Informatic Support Requirements:

• Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to triage patient calls
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associates degree with a concentration in healthcare preferred
• Demonstrate good time management and responsibility
• Exhibit good follow-through and use good judgment
• Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and external agencies
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong customer service skills
• Demonstrate reliability and punctuality
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written communication; being bilingual preferred
