Human Resources Coordinator

Public Sector People are proudly working with QLD Urban Utilities in Brisbane, Fortitude Valley, who are seeking an experienced Human Resources Coordinator on an initial temp contract until 27th November 2026 with the opportunity to extend.

• Role title: Human Resources - Coordinator
• Pay: $44.65 per hour per hour + 12% super
• Location: Brisbane, Fortitude Valley
• Client: QLD Urban Utilities
• Start date: ASAP
• Contract length: Initial contract until 27th November 2026 with the opportunity to extend
• Hours: 38 hours per week Monday to Friday – two days from home

This role is responsible for operational processes across the employee lifecycle, including new starters, existing employee changes and terminations in the organisation's HRIS platform, employment contracts and letters, and regular compliance exercises and performance reporting.                                                                           
  
Reporting to the HR Connect Manager, this role works as part of the HR Connect (HR Help Desk) function, providing high levels of service to leaders and employees, advising on policies, procedures and Tier 1 HRIS, ER and other matters, while continually identifying opportunities to improve processes, tools and self-service.
  
This role contributes to the experience lifecycle through business enablement and continuous enhancement of the Urban Utilities’ experience.
  
What you will be doing:
  

• Policy Development & Implementation - Help develop procedures for an area of the organization and monitor their implementation.
• HR Frameworks and Tools - Contribute to the drafting of HR frameworks and tools within an area of expertise, ensuring compliance with specified design principles, internal policies, and external legal requirements.
• Employee Relations Case Management - Provide first-line advice to managers and employees and resolve basic Employee Relations issues; refer complex issues, and cases that require investigation, to senior colleagues.
• Internal Client Relationship Management - Build effective working relationships within the internal client organization, delivering high-quality professional services with guidance from senior colleagues.
